The Cedar Hill Recreation Center is a 54,000 square ft. facility nestled in a tree-lined 25 acre park located at 310 E. Parkerville Road in Cedar Hill, Texas. The center, open since October 2004, has won several distinguished awards.
Designed to be open and inviting, the center provides a broad range of activities and services for all ages.
There is room for everyone, both residents and nonresidents, to enjoy all that the Cedar Hill Recreation Center has to offer.
The facility is divided into four main components: a gymnasium, a fitness center, specialized rooms, and multipurpose rooms. The large fitness center, located on the second floor, offers 74 state-of-the-art cardio and weight machines. The cardio equipment has individual cable televisions on each machine. A three-lane walking/jogging track surrounds its perimeter, providing scenic views of the surrounding area. A variety of classes are taught in the 2,000 square ft. aerobics and fitness studio. The gymnasium has indoor basketball courts and volleyball courts. The game room has video games, computers with internet access, foosball, air hockey, an adult billiard table and a lounge area. There is a children's room designed with an attached outdoor playground, used for drop-in childcare members. For special events or meetings, there are four meeting rooms and a commercial kitchen available for rent. The patio on the backside of the recreation center overlooks a lighted pond and fountain. A walking trail surrounds the building. The Cedar Hill Recreation Center has wireless internet access available throughout the facility and online registration for classes.
The Cedar Hill Recreation Center is one of three Texas locations that has the revolutionary Nautilus Fitness Advisor.
This digital workout program is designed to develop a customized workout routine, targeted for each member's individual needs and records all workout data. Entering a user's pin number will activate his or her workout program and at each resistance station, they are reminded of position settings, followed by target sets, reps, and weights plus their optimal range of motion and repetition speed.
A variety of membership levels are available. There are one day passes, one and three month memberships, and annual memberships for adults, youth, seniors, and families as well as Corporate Memberships.
